Ann-Marie Christopher brings a dynamic blend of legal expertise, public service, and community advocacy to her role at Calderon Law & Estate Management (CLE).
Qualifying as a UK Barrister in 1997 with a prestigious scholarship from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, Ann-Marie’s career has been defined by a strong commitment to estate planning, consumer protection, and access to justice.
She is admitted to practice in both St. Lucia and the British Virgin Islands, and has built a diverse legal practice encompassing estate planning, regulatory law, debt recovery, and small claims litigation. Ann-Marie also runs a pro bono Consumer Helpdesk, offering free legal guidance and hosting public seminars to empower individuals with knowledge of their rights.
As a dedicated consumer advocate, she served as a consultant to the St. Lucia and Dominica National Consumer Associations, and actively contributed to international initiatives through Consumers International’s FDFA network, reinforcing her global perspective on consumer protection.
Ann-Marie Christopher’s experience includes serving as a Magistrate in both the UK and St. Lucia, and she is a Court-appointed Mediator for the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. She is also an Arbitrator (ACIArb) and the founding Director of the Mediators Forum (St. Lucia) — a non-profit committed to promoting peaceful conflict resolution in communities.
In the corporate realm, Ann-Marie’s background as a Chartered Insurer (ACII) and her consulting work with PricewaterhouseCoopers have shaped her expertise in regulatory compliance, financial planning, and legal risk management. She has advised banks, insurers, and small businesses on operational risks and industry regulations.
A passionate educator and qualified Trainer, she has taught for the Insurance Institute and led industry workshops on compliance and governance. Today, she continues to share her knowledge by advising NGOs and chairing the Red Cross Conflict Resolution & Legal Committee, where she supports humanitarian efforts through legal and mediation services.
