Evans Calderon, MBE, is a highly respected legal professional whose career spans decades of dedicated service to law, politics, and education. A trailblazer from Saint Lucia, his remarkable journey reflects a deep commitment to justice, legal reform, and national development, earning him both national and international recognition.A Legal Pioneer
After beginning his teaching career at just 14, Mr. Calderon migrated to the UK in the 1950s to pursue his passion for law. Called to the Bar in 1971, he returned to Saint Lucia, where he became Deputy Registrar of the High Court before establishing his own legal practice. As Senior Partner at Calderon Law and Estate Management Office, he has become a trusted advisor in the fields of law, estate management, and legal advocacy.
Throughout his career, Mr. Calderon has played an instrumental role in shaping Saint Lucia’s legal framework. As Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General, he was pivotal in driving legal reforms and strengthening the country’s legal institutions. His involvement in the Independence Constitutional Conferences in the UK (1977–1979) helped lay the foundation for Saint Lucia’s sovereignty and legal system.Honors and Ongoing Commitment
For his outstanding contributions to law and public service, Mr. Calderon was honored with the title Member of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II. He continues to practice law with integrity and dedication, leading Calderon Law and Estate Management Office while mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.

Ann-Marie Christopher-Joseph is a seasoned legal advocate with over two decades of experience in consumer rights, dispute resolution, and public service. A UK Barrister since 1997, Ann-Marie has built a diverse practice across St. Lucia, the British Virgin Islands, and the UK. Her expertise spans consumer law, debt recovery, small claims, regulatory law, and estate planning.As a passionate consumer advocate, Ann-Marie serves as a consultant for the National Consumer Associations of St. Lucia and Dominica, providing legal guidance and supporting consumer rights initiatives. She also leads public seminars and offers pro bono services through her Consumer Helpdesk.Beyond her legal practice, Ann-Marie is a Magistrate in both the UK and St. Lucia, an accredited mediator (ACIarb), and an Arbitrator. She founded the Mediators Forum (St. Lucia) and is a Court-appointed Mediator for the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.Her extensive background in regulatory compliance, legal risk management, and financial planning, alongside roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers, banks, and insurers, enables her to offer specialized advice customer and NGOs. Ann-Marie lead the Red Cross Conflict Resolution & Legal Committee.Ann-Marie is a Chartered Insurer (ACII), an educator, and a global advocate for consumer rights through her involvement with Consumer International's FDFA network. She is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities with the legal tools to navigate today’s complex regulatory landscape.
